Once you reach a certain age in life, you earnt a few royalties and one of these is to participate in things that give you pleasure not pain. Enter Pilates, giving pleasure and firm results to women of all ages but in particular those that have age on their side and wisdom in spades. The beauty of this beautiful practice is it’s gentle on the body and soothing on the soul. Sweating lightly not profusely and coming away with a sense of accomplishment, having learnt that your body can do more than you thought it was capable of, Pilates offers more than just your average workout.
Exploring this notion further, our female Exercise Physiologists from Morayfield clinic have devised a brand new, specialised program that combines traditional Pilates with additional strength and conditioning exercises for women aged 50+. It is particularly important for women in this age bracket to take care of their core, pelvic floor as well as bone and muscle strength. With this in mind, our Pilates Plus class responds to all of these requirements while offering a friendly, female only group setting.
