Team STAR of the month : Tresna Browne AEP, Cessnock & Maitland

Introducing our Hunter Valley AEP and NAH team STAR of the month, Tresna Browne. Tresna joined our team in October 2018 and has been an asset to the NAH team and family. She brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and a motivation to improve her skills and contribution to the community on a daily basis. Well done Tresna. here is a snippet from our chat:

  1. What are your interests & hobbies?

I love being outdoors and with friends so we do a lot of camping, fishing, and 4WD. I’m also a big fan of summer so weekends are spent on or around the water, or playing some social tennis. And last but not least, is playing with my spoilt puppy!

  1. Where did you grow up and where did you study?

I grew up in Gosford on the Central Coast and went to local schools for both primary and high school years. I then studied at University of Newcastle completing B. Exercise and Sport Science and Hons. Exercise and Sport Science. After that, I completed M. Clinical Exercise Physiology through Charles Sturt University.

  1. What lead you to become and AEP?

One of my tutors in my undergrad was an EP and introduced me to the profession. I have always enjoyed exercise, working with people, and interested in the human body so EP seemed like an exciting path to follow.

  1. What is your areas of interest?

Anything to do with the human body fascinates me but in particular, areas of interest would be musculoskeletal, neuro (stroke and Parkinson’s Disease), and Cancer.

  1. Favorite part of working with NAH?

Favorite part of working with NAH so far would be the opportunities to work with such a variety of clientele and pathologies. Additionally, despite working alone day to day, I also feel very supported and part of a bigger team, which also provides great motivation and inspiration for me to do better.
